No Shock Dog Training Leashes

25% of all profits will go to places where poachers outnumber the protectors of our wildlife to hire and equip those guarding wildlife refuges / Our future generations deserve to see what we see today!

Educational Thought

Poaching is the illegal theft or killing of “animals” or plants.  This site is for (Domesticated Wolves / Canis lupus) Dogs.  To the owners of said Canis lupus, the leashes will help train a dog with the basics, if your dog is still a puppy or an adult dog & you walk, jog or just would like a better interactive friend (PET)!

Commands like left, right, stop, walk, sit, jog, run and much more depending on what you want to teach like tricks and so on will be learned without the use of doggie treats or shock collars.  Just simple guiding with the leashes, while the owner speaks commands to re-enforce what the command means - Until the leashes are not needed anymore.

A Word for AWISE

(Artist Writers Inventors Scientist Etc....)

I always wanted to write a book about how to bring a thought into market. So as i bring this idea to reality. I'll go over the different steps that I'm going through as I progress.

First things first, I had an idea I’d been working off and on for the last two or three years.  It's a new dog leash / harness.  I use to live in 3 story building with nothing but lofts and a lot of my neighbors had dogs and so came this idea.
I thought of a catchy name last month and bought a domain name @ (www.godaddy.com), so I can get some sort of brand / name recognition, when people talk about it.  I bought 2, however after talking with an advertiser I use here and there.  She liked one better than the other.  That was a week or two ago.

Last week I started with me being the manufacturer (I can't stress the importance, of when you have an idea - try and make a prototype with how you envisioned it would be).  Research and making calls to different suppliers, often helps in ways you wouldn't expect just by talking to someone.

For me: I didn't want the leash to be sewn (something I don’t know how to do), I thought I would be able to make it in house.  I started looking up grommets and gave a company a call, to if grommets would be strong enough to hold up against the pulling of a dog.  Well I was calling the nylon strap I wanted to use "nylon strap" and the lady on the other end of the line said "I think you guys call it webbing" / meaning people that produce leashes and harnesses.  Let her know I had no idea I’m just starting, but I'll look it up and thanks.

THAT WAS MY FIRST LEAD & the only one I would need - To me knowing more of what I should know about when I talk about making the leash / for the simple fact I spent two days on the web before that call, looking for nylon strip.  However, webbing & nylon webbing got me in the door with my searches on the first search.  That was last week.

I spent a good week looking for the webbing on the streets locally / none of the fabric stores around here had it.  I finally found some in a furniture remodeling store and as for the grommets I thought I was going to use to connect the nylon strap - Got lost in the “nylon webbing” searches.

I found a manufacturer that does it all in house (www.strapworks.com) and now my leash will be sewn as well.  I sent in a couple of drawings and pictures of what it’s supposed to look like, when assembled.

It took around two and a half weeks to get this together / I paid for the production of the prototype 11/08/10 (under $40) & now I'm waiting for prototype to be made and sent to me.

I spent around $120 all together in misc. purchases, gas and stuff like that.  I'm cool with that because people might think it's a good product, which will result into sales.

The website name is www.alphaharness.com; I already put the literature up, and did the back side of the web index page - just not the product picture yet.

I use Adobe Dreamweaver (It use to be just plain ole Dreamweaver – But Adobe bought it a couple years ago), it’s a website building program.  I haven’t found one easier to use in ten years that I’ve been building my simple websites.
So in closing till my next post:  Not every idea is as simple as this one to bring to market, nor is every idea a good one.  It took 2 -3 years before I got the design perfected – And the final draft didn’t even happen until I actually got my hands on some webbing.  However, nothing ventured – nothing gained!  And you’ll never know until you try and see what the public thinks of your thought.
Just remember if it’s practical, doesn’t exist or better than existing products people will buy because it fills a need, makes life easier or makes life more enjoyable – Well that’s how I figure it!
